The caverns are made entirely of alabaster, a beautiful white stone – the only gypsum cave in the US. As you explore the caverns, you’ll see fantastic formations that have been slowly sculpted by water over thousands of years. And if you’re lucky, you might even see a bat or two!
If you plan to make a stop, plan ahead of time. Since you can only enter the cavern on a guided tour with limited spots a day. You can rent RV sites and book tours all in advance.
5. Museum of Osteology and Skulls Unlimited
With over 7,000 osteological specimens, the Museum of Osteology and Skulls Unlimited is the perfect place to learn about all things bones. The museum has exhibits featuring animals around the world. If you’re feeling brave, you can even touch some of the skulls.
