RESTAURANTS IN BROKEN BOW
Amidst the thick piney woods of SE Oklahoma lies Broken Bow, OK, a hidden gem for folks looking to get away from the big cities like Dallas, Oklahoma City and Tulsa for a quiet, relaxing vacation.
If you are considering a trip to Broken Bow, or Hochatown as it’s known locally, you’ll definitely want to plan on trying the local restaurants and other unique delights to give your trip that special cherry on top.
While there absolutely are more than just 5 great restaurants in Broken Bow (and more are being added all the time), we’re going to feature this short list to start, but you’ll definitely want to check back for future additions to the ever-growing list.

1. Abendigo’s
Price Point: $$$
Location: 10050 N US Hwy 259, Broken Bow, OK 74728

Steak, cocktails, coffee and the like are all done right at Abendigo’s Grill Patio. Spend your evening listening to live music on the patio (click HERE to check their web page for the line-up of artists and dates). Enjoy shopping in their eclectic, yet classy gift shop or enjoy a craft coffee beverage on the front porch while you wait to be seated. We here at the Travel Happy Blog place this as our very favorite spot to enjoy a nice dinner.
The pulled pork nachos are a great starter. Don’t be afraid of dinner portions being too small either! The steaks are always worth a try! The Pasta Louisana and Chicken Madiera are great options as well. Their menu changes with the seasons and they’re always including new and exciting options. If you like a great mixed drink, we mightly recommend the Moscow Mules with locally crafted vodka.
2. The Eat Out

Location: 5 Coho Rd, Broken Bow, OK 74728

If you want something truly unique, The Eat Out is the ticket! Burgers, Beer, Bonfires and Campers set the tone for your exciting dining experience. This venue recently changed hands after a very successful stent as “The Takery”. You can choose to dine-in for dinner or grab a S’mores kit to enjoy around a fire pit out back.
This restaurant in Broken Bow also has an assortment of backyard style games like disc golf and corn hole for the kids to enjoy while the grown-ups finish their meal and enjoy chatting around the table. You can even dine in one of their remodeled VINTAGE RVS that are peppered around the 1-acre property behind the main building.
3. Mountain Fork Brewery
Price Point: $$
Location: 89 Lukfata Trail, Broken Bow, OK 74728

With one of the largest and best-tasting assortments of craft, locally brewed beers in SE Oklahoma, Mountain Fork Brewery is among the great Broken Bow breweries. If you are looking for fantastic grub, they have the best brick-oven pizzas in town!
Try the Tubby Keith, the Kitchen Sink or if you’re one of those freaks that likes pineapple on their pie, the Hula Pie is admittedly very good. Their burgers will also find a spot in your lineup. The Jalapeno Cream Cheeseburger may not be good for your belly, but it’s for dang sure good for your soul.
4. The Hochatown Saloon

Location: 28 Old Hochatown Rd, Broken Bow, OK 74728

The Hochatown Saloon is another fantastic spot to hear some great live music while you enjoy fantastic food! We found that as far as value goes, this spot is among the best. The quality of the food and mixed drinks comes at a very reasonable price.
The fun, saloon-style décor takes you back to the wild west, without the shootouts or bad piano playing in the background. The Southwestern Eggrolls are always a hit to start and the Chicken Fried Steak can feed a small village. They also have a fantastic bread pudding to wrap up your meal!
5. Foggy Bottom Kitchen
Price Point: $$
Location: 4350 OK-259A, Broken Bow, OK 74728
Reservation Suggested: Yes, on the weekend in high travel seasons
Did you sleep in after a late night in the hot tub or around the cabin firepit? Grab a late breakfast starting at 11AM or skip straight to lunch at the awesome family-style, home cooking establishment. Foggy Bottom Kitchen is located deep in Beavers bend state park and are one of the most highly suggested restaurants in Broken Bow by recent patrons and locals alike.
Go hard with the comfort food like their Chicken and Waffles or the Spicy Yardbird Sandwich. They are also one of the only spots in Broken Bow to get a dry-aged steak! Ribeyes and Sirloins are dry-aged for 45 days before they’re grilled and served up, making it among the top restaurants in Broken Bow for beef!
Once you’re done, enjoy walking out into the beautiful trees near the river down in the State Park.
